Virtual course Management of social and intercultural communication
The collaborative course Management of social and intercultural communication is the core of the CS@Ibero-America project. It is part of the curriculum of four degree programs:
- Master in Communication and Society in Ibero-America of the Heidelberg Center for Ibero-American Studies
- International Double Degree Master’s program in Specialized Translation and Translation Technologies of the University of Heidelberg and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile
- International Double Degree Master’s program in Specialized Translation and Intercultural Mediation of the University of Heidelberg and the University of Salamanca
- Master’s Degree in Social Communication of the University of Chile
This course has the following goals:
- Learn about the key components of intercultural communication.
- Distinguish different types and models of social communication.
- Get insights about different professions in the communications field.
- Get to know the main lines of research in communication, especially in Latin America.
The course is divided into four thematic blocks that combine theoretical and practical sessions in different synchronous and asynchronous formats.
